My apartment backs up onto the Dunedin Botanic Gardens, but until today,
I had never been in the gardens except to walk to the grocery store on
the other side. I decided to explore a bit, and though it is winter here
and nothing is in bloom, it was beautiful! The garden has sections for
plants from different geographic locations - the Mediterranean, South
Africa, local New Zealand plants, and everything in between. I'm sure it
is going to be quite spectacular when it all blooms in the spring!
